Our Story

Travel Man Today is more than just a travel news website—it is the result of a lifelong passion for travel, built on real experiences rather than desk research.

Founder Aaseem Bhardwaj’s journey as a traveler began while working in Dubai. During long workweeks and weekends spent alone, he started exploring the UAE on his days off. This was long before smartphones, Google Maps, or travel apps became part of everyday life. Armed with nothing more than a printed tourist map, a bottle of water, some local currency, and a spirit of curiosity, he set out to discover new places.

Those solo trips across the UAE gradually became a way of life. Traveling alone taught him independence, confidence, and the joy of discovering destinations at his own pace. What started as a way to spend weekends soon became a lifelong passion for travel and cultural exploration.

Professionally, Aaseem began his career as a television journalist with Doordarshan News, before moving into advertising and client services. Later, an opportunity to work in Dubai in sales introduced him to international travel and strengthened his interest in exploring the world. After returning to India, he transitioned into the IT industry, where he has spent more than two decades working as an IT Program Manager while continuing to travel extensively.

Over the years, he has visited numerous destinations across Southeast Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, gaining firsthand experience with visa applications, immigration procedures, airports, public transport systems, hotels, and local cultures.

Aaseem grew up watching the Lonely Planet series on Discovery Channel, where he developed a deep fascination for international travel. Those stories of exploring different cultures, meeting new people, and discovering hidden corners of the world inspired him to dream of doing something similar one day.

That dream became a reality in 2019 when he launched his YouTube channel, Travel Man Today. His first travel vlogs were filmed in Russia, followed by Singapore, as he began documenting his journeys and sharing his experiences with fellow travelers.

However, just as the channel was gaining momentum, the COVID-19 pandemic brought global travel to a standstill. During the lockdown, Aaseem continued uploading the travel videos he had already filmed. One day, a viewer left a comment that changed the direction of the channel forever:

“It’s lockdown. We can’t travel to Singapore right now. Instead of showing us Singapore, tell us how we can go there when travel opens again.”

That simple comment sparked a new vision. Aaseem realized that travelers needed more than destination videos—they needed reliable, practical information on visas, immigration rules, flight updates, and travel planning.

From that moment onward, Travel Man Today evolved from a travel vlog into one of India’s trusted sources for international travel news, visa guidance, and destination information. Today, the platform through his youtube channel & website helps thousands of Indian travelers make informed decisions before planning their next journey abroad.

As the channel continued to grow, Aaseem’s videos on Thailand became some of its most popular content. His deep appreciation for the country—its culture, food, people, and vibrant tourism industry—resonated with thousands of viewers planning their own trips.
